At Llambed Development Trust, we’ve supported many members of Lampeter & surrounding areas for over 13 years. This year, we’re aiming to raise funds for our community fund to enable us to further support vital community groups making a difference in their communities.

With your help, we are planning to fund many community groups and voluntary organisations that are working to make a difference in their communities.

However, we think our efforts to support these groups would go even farther with sponsors, and in turn, we would promote your sponsorship as an official Llambed Community Fund sponsor.

Supporting the community
The Llambed Community Fund supports community groups and non-profits as they make life-changing decisions to improve their communities.
|
The Llambed Community Fund is open to all local community groups who fall into our eligibility criteria.
|
The fund is also open to Community interest companies & Groups of organisations that are community or voluntary led working to make a difference in and around Lampeter.
|
Why we’ve launched the Llambed Community Fund
Over the past couple of years, we have seen more and more people feeling the impact of changes to the UK’s benefits system, Covid 19 and the rise in community groups reacting to combat the current climate and support people in our community facing hardship.
|
In 2022, Llambed Development Trust launched its first-ever Community Fund to provide financial help to community groups that are making a difference in their communities.
|

It only takes 5 minutes to help someone in need
LFP is partnering with other charities and organisations to ensure we can support as many people as possible in their time of need.
|
With a wealth of industry contacts possessing surplus supply and working logistics, we obtain a steady amount of surplus food weekly. On the other side, our trust has supported many individuals and connected us with many organisations which support thousands more.
|
LFP act as the bridge between supply and demand – ensuring that this food matches the people who need it most.
|
|
We require donations to sustain our trust’s important work through these difficult times.
|
As well as assisting, these vital funds will ensure both LDT and Free Food Project can continue their work. Now, post-Coronavirus our community has many more people at risk that require our support.

Lampeter Food Project's Story
|
|
|
For the last five years, the Lampeter Food Project has supported many vulnerable people who have walked through our doors. LFP enable people who are either at risk of or have experienced homelessness a place to receive free food and a cooked meal.
|
LFP use cooking and hospitality as a medium to move people’s lives forward and open up new horizons.
|
This service is available to all members of our community and others facing hardship during these times.
|
We offer three areas of support:
|
- loneliness companionship
- mental health and wellbeing
- getting food in isolation
|
